MAPS

Founded in 1986, the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit research and educational organization that develops medical, legal, and cultural contexts for people to benefit from the careful uses of psychedelics and marijuana.

Zendo Project

This year, millions of people will use psychedelics outside of supervised medical contexts, many of them for the first time. Taking psychedelics can result in overwhelming and uncomfortable experiences, more likely with high doses, amongst first-time users, and without adequate preparation or setting. The Zendo Project promotoes psychedelic harm reductio, including a variety of methods to help prevent and transform difficult experiences while in a non-ordinary state of consciousness.

The Center for Psychedelic Therapy Research

Located at Mount Sinai and the James J. Peters Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, The Center for Psychedelic Therapy Research examines the therapeutic potential of psychedelic compounds for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other trauma-related symptoms.
